Therapy Golf
The Simmy Foundation has partnered with the Tomah VA and other local partners to return its nine-hole golf course into service to provide opportunities for veterans for recreation and outpatient therapy while visiting the VA for care.
The Simmy Foundation is now working to replicate the Tomah reopening at other VA’s around the country. Opened after World War II, many golf courses at VA’s were shuttered due to a relatively recent change in federal regulations. In fact, over twenty courses remain closed.
